To practice successful aesthetic dentistry, the dental team must understand the relevant principles, notably those of smile design, and be aware of the different inter-disciplinary treatment modalities that are available. They should also possess an intimate knowledge of the different aesthetic materials available, and their clinical indications, application and limitations in practice.
