Description
The book describes the literature review of Genus Salvia in general and phytochemical investigation of Salvia sclarea in particular. The isolated compounds have been characterized rigorously based on the spectral techniques in the light of literature. The major isolate Sclareol from S. sclarea along with its novel analogs have been subjected to anticancer studies with focus on their molecular mechanisms. The chemistry involved in the synthesis of analogs includes modified Heck Coupling reaction.
